Little Mommy

I've been pretty concerned about how M will react when her baby brother is born in 5 weeks.  She's been the only child around here for 4 years now.  And, lately she has been reaching out for more attention.  For example, she wants her daddy to hold her CONSTANTLY (because I can't pick her up anymore).

A friend of mine told me that her mom used to buy a special doll for her children when a new baby was on the way.  They were able to model taking care of the new baby on their little doll.  I thought it was a great idea.  So, when we were at my parent's we took M to the store to pick out her very own special baby doll. 

She definitely did some role playing.  It wasn't long before the doll was under her shirt - baby in the belly, just like mommy.

Yet another reminder that kids will imitate everything their parents do!
