Time to Roll Up Our Sleeves

We had our final walk through on our new house last night.
The Sellers closed today and we will close tomorrow morning.
So, that means this weekend begins our next BIG project.

What do you think?  We're crazy?  How exciting?  Great adventure?
This sort of thing rarely scares the Husband and I.  We've pretty much seen it all.  And, when you are being paid to fix something like this for someone else, there may be pressure, but you know that everything will work out.  But, I have to say that our hearts did sink when we walked in the house again last night.  This is going to be done on an extremely tight budget, in a very short time frame and we will be using our own elbow grease, strength and talents - no hiring out on this project.

Deep breath.

Should I be concerned that we are going to jump right into this just as I am having our second child?  Nah, life's short.  Why not make it exciting, right?

Budget and schedule are next on the list.  If I don't have the baby first, of course.

Yay for S-P-R-I-N-G!!!!

First let me start with saying Heather, your post was too cute!  I only hit 37 weeks once with the Coyster and remember being MISERABLE.  There is no room for the baby and you feel like they are trying to kick their way out.

I am so excited for Spring!  It really has been a mild winter but I still am SO ready for it to end.

I love when the skies are blue,  the birds are chirping and the planes flying over head.  That is what comes to mind when I think of Spring.

This weekend we are supposed to hit the 70's for the entire weekend.  I could not be happier!

This brings me to my upcoming Spring project.  A colorful Easter(ish) PHOTO SHOOT!!!

I went on the hunt for some colorful fun clothes for the kids with this as my inspiration:

I think I went a little COLOR overboard

Yikes!  When I see it all together like this and how it translates on photo....I might need to re-think my direction :).  It looks my kids are living in 1984.

Well I will try it all on see how they look.  Thank goodness for Target's return policy.

Who knows, maybe it will be a decades photo shoot instead ;).

Wish me luck.....I am going to need it!

37 Weeks

This was me last week.  I was 36 weeks.
Sadly, this is the best picture hubby was able to get.
This must be how I am really feeling.

HUGE and pretty darn miserable.  Surely the sinus infection and cold didn't help.
Check out my facial expression in all of them.
Can you believe that I actually erased several (because they looked so bad) and made him take more?!
These were the best!
Haha.....pretty pathetic.

So, anyone tried belly binding after a pregnancy?  I really wanted to try it after having M.  But, since I hemorrhaged after giving birth, it was far too painful.  I am determined to try it this time, though.  The Cinch Belly Wrap is on it's way now.  Jody and I actually saw it at the ABC Show a few years ago and I was very impressed with their design.  Fingers are crossed that it actually works.

Now, any suggestions for getting rid of the grandma arms?

What a weekend!!!

It is my Monday, WEEKEND UPDATE post :)

It was a great one....I would say I could sum it up in a sentence: Jam Packed, productive and full of family fun; but then what would I blog about? ;).

So, here is the recap instead:

Saturday: We celebrated in St. Patty's (or Paddy as some will say it) style.  I started off the day bright and early at 3:30 am when "B" decided to wake up and play with the dog instead of sleep.

She is my "sleep challenged child".  I decided to take the quiet time once she fell back asleep to get ready for my busy day.

The leprechauns visited my house.....and left gifts on the table.

The Fruit Rainbow food assignment was a hit!

Of course my hubby had to go the extra mile, which means I will need to run an extra mile with all that cookie crust, real cream topping and white chocolate drizzle-yumminess.

It will be worth the run (once I am better enough TO run ;)

Then on to our annual Green Dinner & my nephews birthday!

Although you can not see it that well, even the rolls were green!  It was an all out green fest...Fun stuff!

There was a scavenger hunt, shamrock maze placemats and we ended with some "Lucky" Bingo

I would have to say overall, the party was a hit!

 Look at these little leprechauns!

Sunday: Thinking I would finally get some downtime, I got dragged out of bed at 8:30 am to go to breakfast.

I HATE going to breakfast! I feel like I wake up too early, waste money and get so full I just want to go home and take a nap.

I would far rather eat my toast and banana, drink a cup of coffee, keep the money and call it good.

From there we went on the search for a new vacuum.....I can home with a Dyson.

Not something I  have ever wanted to spend that kind of money on.  I am a pretty practical, frugal person and a Dyson has always seemed like a buy I just couldn't justify.

The hubby and the "Coyster" talked me into it, saying they would actually be "Excited to vacuum".  Well it worked...yesterday at least.  My hubby came straight home and  vacuumed EVERY room in the house.

Now that is a nice change; I am starting to like my purchase after all ;)

How was your weekend?  Any fun St. Patty's day parties?
